I used to be a bagel and cream cheese kinda gal for breakfast but after turning an age where carbs and cheese to start my day not only made me sluggish but started to become a little harder to work off 😉 . If we had it Mo’s way our days would be full of granola and smoothies, but let’s get real…this girl gotta eat real food. Luckily I found a healthy breakfast that actually fills me up and gets me through my whole morning!
I love getting recipes from friends, people on the road, and of course, Pinterest. But this new favorite was actually made for me by my favorite pacha mama and soul sister, Sadie from Mom + Pop Shop. Sadie is a true earth mama and always has the best recipes for me to try, I tell everyone this girl has a cure for everything in life. She knows my love for ice cream and while camping one morning she brought this out for breakfast and I swear, this hemp milk with cocoa could be a very close substitute.
She gave this recipe to me in March and I can’t seem to make enough of this, Mo drinks a whole (large) mason jar of it in at least 2 days. The hemp milk works with cereal, smoothies and of course, my favorite, add overnight oats + chia seeds for a hearty breakfast. Besides letting the overnight oats sit overnight, the hemp milk takes almost no time to make and if you make enough, can be a breakfast for days.
